With over 20 years of experience as an entrepreneur in Big Data and AI, Koki Uchiyama is the Group CEO of HottoLink, the first social media analytics/listening company to IPO globally. He founded the company in 2000 and has since expanded its services and products to cover various domains and markets, including web3, blockchain, NFT, and DeFi. He is also the founding partner of Nonagon Capital, a web3-focused venture capital firm that invests in and supports innovative startups in the web3 industry.Koki's passion for technology and entrepreneurship stems from his early involvement in developing one of the first Japanese internet search engines during his graduate studies at Tokyo University. He later joined the search engine company as Vice President and led its technology development and business strategy. Besides his role as a tech leader, Koki is also a social activist who advocates for diversity and inclusion in family structures, education, and entrepreneurship. He leads the "Famiee projects," which leverage blockchain technology to issue partnership certificates for LGBTQ couples and create networks of supportive corporations. He is also a council member and one of the founders of UWC ISAK Japan, the first international boarding high school in Japan that provides scholarships to students from diverse backgrounds. Additionally, he supports young entrepreneurs worldwide through his leadership in the Entrepreneurs Organization.
